A free and open format for sharing data peer-to-peer is here. Early adopters get everything needed to start a home feed. All you need is a usb drive to install linux onto--and a computer to do it. You can even 3D print a dongle for itemcloud on your TV.

Our vision of a decentralized peer-to-peer RSS network has lead us in some exciting directions. The idea for sharing backups of content as ICE Blocks came from an experience of documenting a power outage. All the data was created using an ice-server. When electricity is restored data can be imported from the solar charged device to another itemcloud.
Itemcloud can be used to create an offline backup of your files. And every good archive needs an index. That index can be encrypted and shared peer-to-peer.
